Sway - Bic Runga

Don't stray, don't ever go away
I should be much too smart for this
You know it gets the better of me
Sometimes, when you and I collide
I fall into an ocean of you, pull me out in time
Don't let me drown, let me down
I say it's all because of you
And here I go, losing my control
I'm practicing your name so I can say it to your face
It doesn't seem right, to look you in the eye
Let all the things you mean to me
Come tumbling out my mouth
Indeed it's time to tell you why
I say it's infinitely true

Chorus
Say you'll stay, don't come and go
Like you do
Sway my way, yeah I need to know
All about you

And there's no cure, and no way to be sure
Why everything's turned inside out
Instilling so much doubt
It makes me so tired - I feel so uninspired
My head is battling with my heart
My logic has been torn apart
And now it all turns sour
Come sweeten every afternoon

Chorus x2

It's all because of you
It's all because of you

Now it all turns sour, come sweeten every afternoon
It's time to tell you why, I say it's infinitely true

Chorus x2

It's all because of you
It's all because of you
It's all because of you

Funny

In the midst of the flurry of endless Spartan outings, I must've felt more alive and in touch than I've been in such a long time.

Well, the marathon has ended for now, and we're back to the normalcy of our daily mundane lives. But the memories have been etched, the times we shared woven into our lives. University is starting, and I hope that this time we've spent together will bring us through as Spartans, and not as strangers. We'll still be meeting for sure, but not on such a crazily often frequency.

In the span of a few short weeks, I've also come across something I haven't felt in a long time, and I wonder where it'll take me. Life can be unpredictable.

Camp

Alright... I haven't updated this in many weeks now, so what better time to update than after a camp?

I just returned from the NUS Union Camp 07 yesterday. I really enjoyed myself there. At the moment I'm all sunburnt but it was worth it! Made new friends and had lots of fun... And I missed going for a camp, as much as I didn't realise it. The nights without sleep doing things together, and feeling exhausted in the day but still going on like it was the first day of camp. Damn, makes me hate NS even more =/

Anyway, the first day started out rather normally, just meeting up and learning some cheers, and a few basic introductions. We had a scavenger hunt where we literally had to run around NUS and play some games. NUS, being a friggin university, was of course not small by any measure, so it was DAMN TIRING LAH. But nonetheless! My OG did very well and we came in one of the top for that event =)

Following that, the OGs were made to do a skit based on a script that we got during the scavenger hunt. This was the arguably the most boring (the other being the sponsor talks) part of the camp, because all the 9 OGs had the same script and while each OG was given just 5 minutes for the skit, many just stretched till 10-15+ minutes. In the end we got really disinterested towards the end as it dragged on. My OG stuck to the time limit though *proud look*.

After that was a pretty interesting night event... SP night... Well, SP stands for Secret Pal. In short, it's a blind date where we were... blindfolded (pardon the pun!). My SP was pretty chatty, which was a relief for the usually quiet and reserved me, so we managed to share quite a bit. She inadvertently blurted out her name and OG though haha... Well, I didn't wanna spoil the surprise anyway so I didn't try to find out how she looked, but it didn't matter in the end 'cos she left camp that night as she wasn't feeling well =( Oh well. One of the girls in my OG took a peep at her SP and in the end she was soooooo depressed man haha... Later that night we had prata for supper nearby and basically just talked cock, and some of us also played mahjong.

Day 2 started off with the aforementioned boring talks by the sponsors (which I won't name), and then we were off for pool games! No, not 8-ball or 9-ball, I meant swimming pool. So yup, we cheered our voices hoarse and came up with some rather suggestive and controversial ads for stress balls haha... Oh yeah. This was day one of sunburns. Not so bad though, since we spent most of the time in the pool, looking at babes and hunks.

Ok, I'll continue tomorrow!
