Thought

These days I've just been lying on my bed, lyrics book in hand, listening to my CDs.
Sun Yanzi's The Moment, in particular.
And some lyrics really struck a chord in me, 'cos they spoke what I felt before.

Loneliness.
Pain.
Joy.
Paranoia.
Relief.
Anticipation.
Disappointment.

Songs can really stir up some emotions in me.
The power of music. Heh.

Ah well... A seemingly depressed me aside, I went to watch New Police Story with on Friday, after a disastrous FM paper 2 -.- We were supposed to meet at 1pm but thanks to the stupid clock in my house I ended up there 15 minutes... earlier. Miraculously, my date was on the same train as me, so I didn't have to wait. Heh.

So we went to get the tickets first, and seeing that there was plenty of time to spare, we opted for the earlier 2pm show, which later on would become evident as the right choice. Grabbed the tix, then headed one level down to the food court for lunch. I wanted to get the Ayam Panggang from the Indonesian BBQ, but the serpentine queue (note: exaggeration) put me off so bad, so I just settled for some crappy duck rice, which was no comparison to the mouth-watering Ayam Panggang. Everyone should try it one day!!! Head down to Plaza Singapura! You will not regret it. She just got a pretzel 'cos she wanted to smuggle some sushi into the cinema to munch on during the show.

Lunch went down, and so did we, to Carrefour, to get the aforementioned sushi. Quite a selection there, so we looked abit, and she got some handrolls. After that we circled each level of the complex in a bid to waste some time before the movie began.
Well... Very frankly... I think she was quite bored 'cos I was so quiet. Sigh. Sometimes I really think that I don't know how to talk.

Anyway, the movie was pretty good. It's not what you'd expect from a Jackie Chan flick. There was notably less action, and more story. Which was good for me. And for the movie as well. Heh. I enjoyed the movie alot, and I hope she did too.

More so, I hope she enjoyed the whole day =)

Duh

Just kill me. The com hung while I was in the middle of typing an entry. Now I know how bloggers feel when shit does happen. Gah.

I'll try my best though.

An update.

Argh. Com's still not ok, partly due to the fact that I'm not too keen on spending money on new stuff, most probably a motherboard, and also due to me being a dolt at computer hardware repair. Doh.

Anyway, the prelims are almost over... Only left with FMaths Paper 2 tomorrow... But the fact that it was the prelims didn't seem to affect a few people in my class at all, to the point where the few of us were playing soccer religiously everyday. Haha... Well at least that took up some time that would have otherwise been spent slacking at home.

I recently bought 2 new CDs, namely F.I.R. and Ri Chu (Cai Chun Jia).

F.I.R.
Great CD. Mostly rock, with some slower songs too. Definitely recommended. My picks from the CD, in order of preference:
1) Hou Le Yuan (Track 10)
2) Ni De Wei Xiao (Track 8)
3) Liu Lang Zhe Zi Ge (Track 4)
4) Fly Away (Track 2)

Ri Chu
Haven't really listened to it carefully, so I can't really say much, except that it seems pretty good so far. She's a little bit of everything. Haha... Well, before this album she was probably mostly unknown, but she did release an album quite a few years back. You can go search for it on the net if you want to. Her most popular song currently would be Pei Wo Kan Ri Chu, since after all, it's been the title song for a Channel U serial drama, and it's the most attention catching one. Heh.

She Will Be Loved - Maroon 5

Beauty queen of only eighteen
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
And wound up at your door
I've had you so many times but somehow
I want more

I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

Tap on my window, knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn't matter anymore

It's not always rainbows and butterflies
It's compromise that moves us along
My heart is full and my door's always open
You can come anytime you want

I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

I know where you hide
Alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls

Tap on my window, knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful

I don't mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain, oh
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

Please don't try so hard to say goodbye
Please don't try so hard to say goodbye

I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain

Please don't try so hard to say goodbye

Computer Woes

My com's down =/ And hence, my progress on the construction of this blog has come to an abrupt halt. I'm currently in a LAN shop using the com for an hour. The withdrawal symptoms from having no computer to use were too much for me to take lol.

Well, the prelims have started, heralded by the mighty GP paper, and pretty much needless to say, it slaughtered most of us. Not helping was the fact that I was in some semi-dazed state - drowsy and seemingly drugged. Ah well, at least the biggest of my worries for the prelims are over.

Think I'll blog a little more if I have time to spare at the end of this precious hour I have.
